Cluster Integrated Monitoring Solutions

IntroductionDocumentsGoals & AimsCluster Team

Cluster Team is building a simple application for cluster, we will use Fox's Algorithm for this first step towards the comprehensive cluster monitoring solutions.

The first major project of the cluster computing team is to perform Matrix multiplication using parallel algorithms. For this purpose, the fastest applicable algorithm is the Fox's Algorithm. A brief and comprehensive description on this topic was delivered by Mr. Salman Khalid. It didn't contain the details as far as the mathematical derivations were concerned, however he is about to deliver a complete presentation on Fox's Algorithm this week, which will unleash the mathematical beauty of this wonderful algorithm. On the other hand the whole team is working on researching about different parallel algorithms, that has been developed yet. So that in the very next step we may develop our own algorithms.

UP GRADATION OF THE RUMI CLUSTER

(Forwarded from the RUMI Team Lead, Mubeen Ahmad)

Recently few members of the RUMI cluster team http://www.khwarzimic.org/cluster performed some performance analysis experiments on RUMI. In light of the results obtained, we have decided to upscale its equipment. Keeping in view the time depreciation of computer hardware, it has been decided that we are going to sell the equipment now; and, buy state of the art nodes when we are ready to implement few parallel algorithms. We are looking forward to be able to enter into the implementation phase by December 2001.
